Ps Dermot Cottuli - (College President) B.Ed, Dip.Min (distinction) Ordained Minister
Dermot is the Senior Pastor of Grace Christian Church and the State President of the Australian Christian Churches (formerly AOG). Dermot has been involved in numerous church plants and senior ministry positions throughout Australia. Currently he lectures in the Ministry of the Spirit. His passion is to see leaders not just start well in ministry but also finish well. Dermot is married to Debra and they have 4 children.



Ps John Morse (Executive Officer) - B.Sc, Th.L, Dip. Ed, TAA Cert IV, M.Min (cand) Ordained Minister.
John’s passions include people, facilitating training and mentoring. His professional background is in teaching, computing and pastoral work. He has 2 adult children and is married to the delightful Jane! John has been Executive Officer of the College since 1999 and leads and lectures in the ministry stream – Mentoring, Pastoral Care, Leadership, Issues in Ministry and Ministry Field Education. 




Jan Norton (Registrar)
Jan is our Registrar and has developed skills in administration over many years; has a heart for people and seeing the College develop. Jan’s work is well appreciated by students, Board members and lecturers. Together with her husband, Philip, she regularly explores different corners of the world.




Ps Ron Wilson - Dip Min, Cert IV Wkpl. Training, Ordained Minister
In 1994, Ron, along with the team at Grace launched Tabor College Tasmania (known then as the Tasmanian College of Ministries). He has a long and valued experience in ministry, church statesmanship and denominational leadership. His artistic flair is displayed in his paintings, his preaching and lecturing.  His favourite subject is Creative Living which he demonstrates and imparts to his students. 



Dr Aileen Lyle (Head of Stream Theology) - D. Min, Grad Dip Min, B.Min, B.Sc, Cert IV Wkpl. Training,
Aileen is Head of Stream for Theology at Tabor. She is also Chaplain at Kingston Primary School.  At Tabor, Aileen lectures, and is involved in the strategic planning and development of the academic vision for the college. In line with the research she has recently completed, she is currently involved in developing an element of the curriculum to do with spiritual formation in the lives of the students at the college. Aileen has so far presented papers at international conferences and has papers in review with an internationally recognised journal. She is currently doing further research into children’s ministry, particularly in the area of spirituality and spiritual development in primary school age children and in her home church is involved in children’s ministry



Karen Woolford B. Min, Grad Dip. Min
Karen is committed to cross cultural mission and lectures in intercultural and cross-cultural studies. She has spent a number of years on three continents, becoming involved in indigenous Christian communities. 



 

Kerry Kettlewell RN, RMN, Dip N. Ed., B.Ed, MPA, FCN (NSW)
Kerry fills a number of invaluable roles at Tabor Tasmania. She encourages the pursuit of quality and helps the standing committees and boards of the College. She is also both post graduate student and teacher at the College.



Klasina Abetz-Vizzer - M.Ed, B.Ed, Tas Teaching Certificate, Cert IV in Wkpl. Training (Assistant Head of Stream Counselling)
Klasina lectures in Counselling Foundations and Counselling Skills.  She is a devoted mother fostering strong family ties. She works with women and families in a community centre and has a passion for learning.  Effervescent, flexible and passionate!



 

Ruth Jones - Librarian
Ruth has always loved books and enjoys being both sides of a library desk.  It is a particular joy to be directly involved with Christian books, old and new. Married to David, with 3 children, they have been involved in ministry in Wales, London and Hobart.  Ruth is also a qualified teacher and occasionally does relief language teaching and some Adult Ed. classes.




Hans Kelder - M.Ed, B.Div, Ordained Minister
Hans is married to Jo and between them they have ten children. Hans is multi-lingual, having worked in Holland and Germany. He has been in ministry for over 20 years. In his early years he was a youth pastor in Blacktown NSW. He later moved to Hobart where he was the pastor of the Christian Reformed Church in Kingston. He spent time in Beijing teaching English at a private college and has been involved in cross cultural marriage counselling and preaching in the Good Shepherd Congregation. He is currently part-time pastor in the Christian Reformed Church of Hobart. He is also the owner of Hobart Marriage Counselling and is an active member of the Professional Counsellors Association and has served as Chairman and head of the Ethics committee. 



Dr Margaret Austen (Head of Stream Counselling) - BA Hons (Psych), PhD in Psychology, Cert IV Wkpl. Training, Member CCAA

Margaret is Head of Stream Counselling and lectures psychology modules at Tabor, including Introduction to Psychology, and Psychological Problems. Margaret completed her PhD in Psychology in 2003. She has a particular interest in the area of biological psychology including neurological pathways associated with experience of emotion, behaviour, cognitive processes and psychological illness. Margaret feels passionate about imparting God’s love to the needy, the poor in spirit, and the oppressed.  Margaret also works part-time in crisis and trauma counselling.

Sue Viney - M.Ed (Couns), B.Ed, Tas Teaching Certificate, Cert IV Wkpl.Training
Sue is married to Rod and has two adult children who keep their lives very interesting!! Sue has had  wide ranging experience in many aspects of education and youth work, which led her to complete her Masters in Education (Counselling) at UTAS and to the role of School Counsellor at two Christian Schools working with students, parents and staff.
Sue is the founder Chairman of Christian Counsellors Association (Tasmania).




Lyndy Burt - M.Ed (Counselling & Development), B.A. Psy, Cert IV Wkpl.Training
Lyndy Burt M.Ed. (counseling) B.A. (psychology) cert IV wkpl training PACFA CCAA Lyndy,s passion is reading and people in equal parts. She desires to help facilitate individuals growth towards their personal goals and into wholeness and fulfillment. Lyndy crossed the ditch from NZ in 1985 with her husband and then two young daughters, they intended to live in Tas for two years before going somewhere else (still here). Lyndy originally trained as a nurse and worked in that capacity in NZ and Tasmania before deciding on a career change and studying psychology. Lyndys professional life has included working as a crisis and trauma counselor and a short stint as a school counselor at Emmanuel Christian School. Lyndy has been a lecturer at Tabor since 2003 and lectures Intro to counseling theories, Counselling theories Two and Cognitve Behaviour therapy.




Bill Folkerts - B.A., B.A.(S.W.)
Bill currently divides his work time between Social Work at the Royal Hobart Hospital and Community Health on Bruny Island, and his lecturing in Grief and Loss at Tabor. He has had a varied and interesting career including periods as Associate Pastor in a Pentecostal church, Principal of a Christian school, work overseas and in the Northern Territory. He is married to Anna and they are now ‘empty nesters’ with a grown-up family. They attend Wellspring Anglican, where Bill is active in pastoral care.
His passions are seeing people grow (spiritually and in every way), seeing wounded people restored, and finding God in the beauty of the bush and his garden.




Leanne Rands – M. Ed, B. Ed, Dip. Bib. Studies, Grad. Dip. Lib., Dip. Teach. (Primary)

Leanne is based in Burnie, and lectures School Chaplaincy in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.  Leanne believes that the ministry of Chaplaincy is poised to exert a powerful Christian influence in our schools.  She passionately commends this course to all who are either School Chaplains or those who are seriously considering this “calling”.




Ian Rands – B.A. Bib. Studies, Dip. Christian Counselling., Assoc. Dip. Charismatic. Min., Dip. Bib.Studies (Vision College Sydney) 

Ian will be lecturing CREATIVE LIVING 1 in Burnie in Semester 1, 2009.  Ian knows first hand, how this unit has the potential to impact lives and he wholeheartedly commends it to all Christians who are looking for a challenge that will add a zest to their Christian lives. Ian believes that Creative Living is a life transforming and life enriching subject that will benefit Christians of all ages and from all walks of life.
